Goodman Poland delivers over 100,000 sqm of warehouse space

Goodman Poland has delivered 102,266 sqm of warehouse space to customers in the first quarter of 2012, compared with a total of 47,300 sqm delivered over the entire 2011 calendar year.

Błażej Ciesielczak, Regional Director Poland, said: “The first quarter of 2012 was very successful for us. We delivered five built-to-suit projects to customers, with a record total warehouse area of over 100,000 sqm, bringing the total portfolio of properties managed by Goodman in Poland to over 245,500 sqm.

The developments for TJX Europe and Amica were acquired by Goodman European Logistics Fund (GELF) while the warehouses for Metsä Tissue and Philips will be retained by Goodman Group. The CaseTech facility will be sold to a private investor. Goodman is currently developing two further warehouses for customers in Poland. The 6,574 sqm and 13,492 sqm facilities are both located in Kraków and will be delivered in 2012. Later this year, Goodman also plans to begin construction and commercialisation of its flagship project the Pomeranian Logistics Centre in Gdańsk.

Goodman Group holds strategic land sites in all of Poland’s key logistics centres, which are capable of providing approximately 875,000 sqm of additional warehouse space. The Group has a significant pipeline of active enquiry and the land bank enables it to accommodate the individual requirements of all potential customers.In 2012, Goodman plans to continue expanding its land bank, with the main acquisition targets being land in Upper Silesia and in Poznań.With more than 850 staff and 32 offices in 16 countries, Goodman has the global reach to meet customers’ needs as their businesses expand or evolve.
