Toruń Plaza already opened

Toruń Plaza.

On 14 November this year, a ceremony of opening the shopping and entertainment centre Torun Plaza took place. On 40 000 sqm of retail space, there are 120 stores, the food court and service points as well as the entertainment centre with a games and activities centre Fantasy Park and an eight-room Cinema City.

Within the first four hours since the opening, Torun Plaza was visited by 40 000 people, that is every fifth resident of Torun, which altogether has 200 inhabitants.

“The number of visitors exceeds our wildest expectations. The first day was a record in the entire 11-years history of Plaza Centers in Poland,” comments Agnieszka Baczyńska, Leasing Director at Plaza Centers. “It confirmed our assumptions that Torun is a city with high potential and demand for modern retail and entertainment offer,” she adds.

Toruń Plaza was built in 15 months. All works were carried out in accordance to the schedule. KARMAR SA, a part of Bouygues Batiment International, is the general contractor of the project. Architects from IMB Asymetria from Cracow, who specialise in designing shopping centres, are the authors of the concept of the modern centre. Toruń Plaza is the 10th shopping and entertainment centre delivered within 11 years of Plaza Centers operating in Poland. The centre in Torun is one of the key investments in not only Polish but also European portfolio of the company.
