Nowy Świat in Warsaw is the most expensive shopping street in Poland.With the yearly rent at the level of 1020 euros for a square metre, the streethas been placed 41 out of 63 most expensive shopping streets in the world –stated Cushman&Wakefield consulting company.

Nowy Świat,which was in the 40th place last year, is far from the world's top.According to the newest Cushman & Wakefield report “Main Streets Across the World 2011”,Fifth Avenue in New York retained its position as the most expensive shopping street in the world, with the EUR 16 704 worth rent for a square metre ofa shop.

The second place goes to Causeway Bay in Hong Kong (14 426 euros/sqm/year), and the third to Ginza in Tokio (7 750euros/sqm/year). Pitt Street Mall in Sydneytook the 4th place (7 384 euros/sqm/year). The first European cityranked 5th; a sqm of a shop at Elysium Fields is worth 7 364euros a year. New Bond Sreet in Londonis a bit cheaper (6 901 euros/sqm/year, which gives the 6thplace).
