King Sturge Poland appointed to manage Copernicus Science Centre

King Sturge has been appointed as a property manager for the state of the art brand new Copernicus Science Centre, which first phase will be opened at the beginning of November.

The Copernicus Science Centre is being erected on the bank of the Vistula River in the very heart of Warsaw (the corner of Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie and Zajęcza streets, above the Wisłostrada tunnel). The building is an important statement in the ongoing development of modern architecture and its design is often noted to be superbly suited to the surrounding landscape

The Centre complex will comprise:
• a two-story building with total floor-space of 15 000 m², to house permanent and temporary exhibitions, laboratories and workshops, a conference Centre, cafes and restaurants, plus office space and a distinctive rooftop garden
• a garage and a workshop on a subterranean level
• a multimedia planetarium with an observation deck
• Discovery Park with open-air experimentation stations, an outdoor art gallery, and an amphitheatre.

“The Copernicus Science Centre will enlarge the portfolio of properties managed by King Sturge. At the moment we manage 50 projects in Poland with total area over 1.300.000 m². Steady development of property management team is giving us confidence to manage different kinds of properties” - says Iwona Laszkiewicz – Head of Property & Asset Management King Sturge.
