The City - October 2012

Way to success through innovation

In the times of the ever increasing and more and more equal competition, it is worth to bet on innovative business solutions and not be afraid of following unblazed paths. In a word, to create trends in the market yourself. This is what the participants in The City Business Forum conference have said and what was confirmed by the CEO of Skanska Property Poland in the interview for us. Waldemar Olbryk told us, among others, about perspectives for the office market in Poland, innovative approach to tenants and the plans of Skanska for the nearest years.

Of course, it cannot be denied that every business activity is related to risk. Although it cannot be completely eliminated, it is worth considering how to minimise it – particularly in the commercial real estate financing field. You will find more about defining major risk areas in the case of financing new investments within this issue of the magazine.

Innovativeness is also related to standing out against the background of the competition. But it is equally important to offer the product the client expects. This is the path the developers, who decided to build convenience shopping centres, have chosenObviously, in the ever increasing competition conditions, only project fully satisfying the needs of customers, situated in strategic locations and providing a well-balanced offer will have chances for success.

Unconventional approach and remaining open to new practices is important also in the case of already operating real properties, in terms of both management and marketing. Dominik Piwek, Director of Marketing and PR at Metro Properties will tell us about bold approach to marketing campaigns and using the newest achievements of neuroscience.
