Catalyst Capital Purchases Moniuszki Tower in Warsaw

BPT Optima real estate investment fund, managed by BPT Asset Management, has sold Moniuszki Tower, a landmark office tower in Warsaw, Poland, to European asset manager Catalyst Capital.

Constructed in 2002, the Moniuszki Tower is a prominent office building in the center of the Polish capital. The 11,589 sq m building currently houses the Polish telecommunications operator

“This purchase reflects our confidence both in the underlying strength of the Polish economy in these current times and in our intent to invest further funds into the Polish retail and office market”, stated Kean Hird, partner at Catalyst Capital.

Telekomunikacja Polska S.A (TP SA) and is one of several buildings occupied by the telecom group. The property is set to undergo a complete re-commercialization during 2013 when TP SA is expected to relocate to their new campus. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Jones Lang LaSalle advised BPT in the sale, whilst CBRE acted on the behalf of Catalyst Capital.
