Bayer build a new office for a Shared Service Centre in Tri-City

According to Jones Lang LaSalle, a new Finance and Accounting Shared Service Centre for Bayer was announced in Tri-City on the 23rd March 2012. The official launch of the new centre, following staff recruitment and office space acquisition, should be completed by the end of 2012.

Bayer, a global enterprise with core competencies in the fields of health care, nutrition and high-tech materials, intends to recruit over 200 specialists with good foreign language capabilities, in the accounting field. This translates into an office space requirement for 2,500 sq m. The new shared service centre will service the Central and Eastern Europe region. Key objectives behind the changes to the organization are the standardization of accounting processes across CEE and a drive towards greater efficiency via a central management.

Magdalena Reńska, Head of the Jones Lang LaSalle Office in Gdańsk commented: „The first quarter of 2012 saw a lot of activity from the BPO/SSC sector in Tri-City. We trust that this trend will be sustainable for the remainder of the year and beyond. It is, in my view, very likely due to a fast developing office market in Tri-City combined with a reasonably low level of competition for top talent on the labour market. With globalization in expansion mode at the moment, the outsourcing of business processes looks to address the objectives of greater cost control and increasing revenues.”
