Another BREEAM certified office building in Warsaw

Mokotowska Square, a revitalised A-class office building at 49 Mokotowska Street in Warsaw was granted BREEAM certificate

BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the most popular multi-criteria ecological building certification methods in Europe. When assessing buildings, following criteria are taken into account: sustainable management, air quality in a building, energy and water consumption, low level of waste generated, using ecological materials or providing good working conditions.

Mokotowska Square is the former Metalexport building revitalised by Yareal Polska in the dense development zone in the core of Warsaw. Construction works conducted under the supervision of the monument conservation officer included renovation of a characteristic facade dating back to the 50s of the last century and a total reconstruction of the interior so that it could meet high standards of A-class office space with the services and retail space fulfilling requirements of international brands. Among tenants in the retail part of the building, there are i.a. Escada, Marc Cain,Chiara or Le Chic. The total office space of the building is 8,645 sqm, whereas the retail space amounts to 1,280 sqm.
